Let's talk smoothies! Smoothies are a very popular snack or add on to a meal in our homes and we love them for so many reasons! 
Making smoothies is a fun way to get your children involved in the kitchen, allowing them to choose a variety of vegetables or fruit to their smoothie. Or if you have a picky eater, smoothies are also a great way to sneak things in that your child may not necessarily eat on their own.
Smoothies are quick, simple, delicious and filling and unlike juicing, blending fruits and vegetables into a smoothie will leave the whole fibre intact. Kids can get a variety of protein, minerals, vitamins, and fibre all while enjoying their smoothies!!
Smoothies can be made year-round, changing with the wonderful flavours of the seasons!

Apple & Cinnamon Smoothie
4 Apple & Cinnamon Cubes (thawed)
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 banana
1 tsp hemp hearts
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup ice
Pear & Spinach Green Smoothie
3 Pear & Spinach cubes (thawed)
1 cup almond milk
1 banana
1 cup frozen mango (or frozen fruit of your choice)
2 celery sticks
Blueberry Quinoa Smoothie
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup greek yogurt
3 Blueberry & Quinoa cubes (thawed)
1 banana
1 cup spinach
1 tbsp honey
